About ElderlyDaily: Real Caregiving Experience, Forged in the Trenches
This site wasn't started by a corporation. It was built by a son who single-handedly cared for his aging mother through complete liver failure.
When my mother was diagnosed with complete liver failure in her 70s, I became her sole caregiver. Overnight, my life became a blur of managing complex medication schedules, helping her navigate severe mobility loss, and dealing with the sudden bouts of confusion that come with the disease. I was exhausted, terrified of her falling, and overwhelmed by the sheer amount of medical equipment we suddenly needed at home. I spent years buying, testing, and relying on hundreds of products just to keep her safe and maintain her dignity.

Every product reviewed through the lens of real home caregiving.

Why I Built ElderlyDaily
During my mother's illness, I realized how much garbage is sold to desperate families online. When you are operating on two hours of sleep, you don't have time to read fake reviews — you just need to know which shower chair won't slip, or which bed alarm will actually wake you up if your parent wanders.
I built ElderlyDaily to be the resource I desperately needed back then. Every guide and review on this site is viewed through the lens of what I would have trusted for my own mother.
The "Mother Test"
Before anything earns a recommendation on ElderlyDaily, it must pass three questions — the same three I asked myself every time I bought something for my mother.
Safety First
Does it actively prevent falls?
Every product we recommend must demonstrably reduce fall risk or prevent a dangerous situation. If it looks good but doesn't make the home safer, it doesn't make the cut.
Dignity
Is it comfortable and respectful?
Aging is hard enough. We refuse to recommend anything that makes a senior feel like a burden or strips away their sense of self. Comfort, discretion, and respect are non-negotiable.
Caregiver Relief
Does it actually reduce caregiver anxiety?
Caregivers are the invisible patients. If a product doesn't meaningfully reduce the stress, fear, or physical burden on the person providing care, it fails our test — no matter how well it's marketed.
"If I wouldn't have trusted it for my own mother — exhausted, scared, and running on no sleep — I won't recommend it to you."

Our Editorial Process
We are not a faceless content farm. Every guide and review on this site is written with the weight of real caregiving experience behind it. Here is exactly how we approach every piece of content.
Caregiver-First Research
We start with a real problem — nighttime wandering, bathroom fall risk, medication confusion — and work backwards to find the best solutions.
Safety & Medical Cross-Check
Core guides are cross-referenced with current geriatric safety standards and public health guidelines before publication.
Continuous Updates
We audit and refresh our buying guides every 3–6 months. If a product gets recalled or a better option emerges, we update immediately.
How We Support Our Work
ElderlyDaily is reader-supported. To keep all guides free for caregivers, we participate in affiliate programs. If you click a link and purchase a product, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Commissions never dictate our recommendations. If a product fails our safety check, we don't recommend it — regardless of the payout.
Medical Disclaimer
The content on ElderlyDaily.com is for informational purposes only. We are a publisher, not a healthcare provider. Our content should never replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with a doctor or physical therapist before making major changes to a senior's home or care routine.
You Are Not Alone in This
